A thoroughly Bay Area day.
After fabricating french toast with San Francisco sourdough, we were off to tip-toe the towering aisles of a packed consignment store in search of a dresser. Instead, we found plenty of old spoons and a wildebeest, which are exciting all the same, but not quite a dresser, so we left in search of yarn at the yarn store. The fingerless-gloved hands of the yarn lady handed over many books with many patterns, some too complicated for mother, some just not quite right for my overly-exacting ways, and after many knit-ones, purls, and reverse stockinette stitches, we were left empty-handed once more.
Not to worry, it was to Berkeley Hort (the nursery)! Dripping in the tropics and drying off in the desert, we collected the supplies for terrariuminizing. And when we got home (after a brief stop at the Berkeley Rose Garden to ponder the winterized blandness and snag some gratuit terrarium supplies), that’s just what we did. Three dirt biomes and one swift sandscape later, we were all done and sat down to set up Fastrak accounts so that we might traverse the Bay Area bridges a little quicker.
I almost forgot! We walked Telegraph to shop American Apparel, so that Jeff might Groupon his wardrobe.
Now, beat that. Shazam!
